Save the Date: on Wednesday, October 30 from 5:00-7:00pm, we'll have our next Prayer Vigil at church. From 5:00-6:00pm, the church will be open for quiet, individual prayer time. Beginning at 6:00pm, we will have a time of sharing various prayer needs with one another and lifting up those prayers to the Lord. Then, we'll close the evening with a structured prayer service with Scripture readings and hymns. Please join us to pray for your needs, for our congregation, for our country, and for one another.

Join us at St. Matthew for a movie night on Friday, October 25 at 6:00 PM. We'll be watching and discussing Luther, a 2003 movie which tells the story of Martin Luther, from becoming a monk, to challenging the abuses in the medieval church, to leading the Protestant Reformation. Brink a favorite snack or drink to share and come learn more about our Lutheran heritage!

One of our sister congregations, Grace Lutheran in Little Rock, invites you to their annual hymn festival. It will be held on Sat, Oct. 12, 2024. The presenter will be Rev. Will Weedon, host of the Bible study podcast "The Word of the Lord Endures Forever." His topic will be "One Generation to Another: The Role of Music in Preserving the Witness of the Church." The hymn festival will especially focus on celebrating the 500th anniversary of the first Lutheran hymnals and the beginning of congregational singing. More information is available on Grace's website. Registration forms are also available at St. Matthew.
