New Bible Study to begin 2024

On Sunday, January 14 and continuing through the following weeks, we'll have a new Bible study on the topic of "wellness." As we begin this New Year with many people implementing their various resolutions, we'll reflect on wellness from a Christian perspective, looking at physical health, spiritual health, emotional health, and more. Join us each week from 9:00-9:45am in the Sanctuary before services.

2023 Christmas Services

At Christmastime, we ponder the wonder of our Savior's arrival in our world as a little child in Bethlehem. We invite you to join us for our Advent and Christmas services at St. Matthew:

Midweek Advent Services:  Wednesdays, Dec. 13 and 20 at 6:30pm (Services will be preceded by a light meal each week at 5:30pm.)

The Fourth Sunday in Advent:  10:00am Service of Holy Communion on Sun, Dec. 24 (Please note - we will not have Sunday School and Bible Study on the 24th.)

Christmas Eve Candlelight:  6:30pm Service on Sun, Dec. 24 (The service will be followed by "Cookies by Candlelight" - a time of refreshments and fellowship for all.)

Christmas Day:  10:00am Service of "Lessons and Carols" with Holy Communion

Service for the First Sunday after Christmas:  Sun, December 31 at 10:00am (Sunday School and Bible Study will resume on the 31st.)

Christmas Caroling - Dec. 10

You are invited to participate in Christmas caroling on the afternoon of Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023. Singers are asked to convene at church at 2:00pm to enjoy some refreshments and to have a brief practice. Then we will carpool to our destinations together, including Superior Health and Rehab.

2023 Midweek Advent Services

St. Matthew will hold midweek Advent services on Wednesdays, December 6, 13, and 20 at 6:30pm weekly. As we prepare our hearts for Christmastime, the theme for our Advent services will be "Stop - Look - Listen." The services will also be preceeded by a light supper each week beginning at 5:30pm. Members are encouraged to sign up for food contributions in the church entryway. Please plan to join us for worship and prayer this Advent at St. Matthew and invite a loved one or neighbor to come along!

Prayer Vigil - Nov. 8

On Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, St. Matthew's sanctuary will be open for quiet prayer time from 5:00-7:00pm. Resources to help guide your prayers will be available for those who would like them. You can come and pray for our congregation and our members, those affected by conflicts around the world, or your personal concerns. We encourage you to stop by and spend some time in prayer in the Lord's house.
