The Sermon for our Advent Midweek Service on Weds, Dec. 4 was based on the hymn "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" (shown in the picture) along with God's Word in Psalm 80 and Matthew 1:18-25.

This is the historic "Antiphon" which is the basis of  v. 1 of the hymn: “O Emmanuel, our King and our Lord, the anointed for the nations and their Savior:  Come and save us, O Lord our God!”

The sermon for the First Sunday in Advent was entitled "Advent Gratitude" and was based on Zechariah 9:9: “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion. Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”

The sermon for Nov. 24, 2024 was entitled "Alpha and Omega." (Scriptural outline below)

Isaiah 44:6: “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last; besides Me there is no god.”

Revelation 1:4b–8:  “Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him. Even so. Amen. ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.’”

Revelation 1:17b–18: “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.”

Revelation 22:12–13: “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing My recompense with Me, to repay everyone for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

Revelation 22:20: “He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!”
